From punches perfect for parties, champagne with a seasonal twist, to turning that eggnog into something really tasty… we’ve listed our top 4 favorites recipes below for your enjoyment. Spiced Citrus Champagne Cocktail
Spiked Coconut Eggnog
Hot Buttered Rum
Apple-Cranberry Ginger Punch
How to Make ‘Em:
Spiced Citrus Champagne Cocktail
The Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/2 Cup Honey
- Zest of 2 Lemons, cut in to long strips
- 1 TBSP Lemon Juice
- 4 Whole Star Anise
- 4 Cinnamon Sticks
- 12 Whole Cloves
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Orange Juice
- Champagne, or Dry Sparkling White Wine
The Process:
- Bring Water, Honey, Lemon Zest, Lemon Juice, Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick & Cloves to a simmer in a large saucepan over medium heat
- Reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes
- Cool syrup
- Serve each glass of sparkling wine with 1 tablespoon of spiced syrup and a splash of orange juice (optional), to taste.
- Garnish with a slice of star fruit or a lemon twist.
Spiked Coconut Eggnog
The Ingredients:
- 4 Cups Light Coconut Milk
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 8 oz Spiced Rum
- 2 TSP Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Toasted, Large Unsweetened Coconut Flakes (for garnish)
- Ice
The Process:
- Bring Coconut Milk to a simmer in a medium pot over medium-high heat.
- Whisk together egg yolks, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until smooth and pale.
- Gradually whisk half the hot coconut milk into the egg mixture, then pour into pot with remaining coconut milk.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring, until thick and mixture nearly coats the back of a wooden spoon, approx. 2-3 minutes.
- Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl.
- Stir in rum, and refrigerate at least 3 hours and up to overnight.
- Pour into a pitcher, serve over ice, and garnish with coconut flakes.
Hot Buttered Rum
The Ingredients:
- 4 oz Unsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
- 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar (Packed)
- 1 TSP Orange Zest (Finely Grated)
- 3/4 TSP Ground Cinnamon
- 3/4 TSP Ground Ginger (Fresh)
- 1/2 TSP Ground Nutmeg (Fresh)
- 1 1/2 oz Dark Rum
- 3/4 Cups Boiling Water
- 1/2 Orange (Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice)
The Process:
- Beat Butter, Sugar, Orange Zest, Cinnamon, Ginger and Nutmeg with a mixer on medium speed until combined. Abut 1 minute.
- Combine 2 TBSP Spiced Butter Mixture with 1 1/2 oz (3 TBSP) Dark Rum in each of 4 heatproof glasses.
- Pour 3/4 cup Boiling Water over each, and stir.
- Top each with a squeeze of fresh orange juice.
Apple-Cranberry Ginger Punch
Make it a mocktail OR a cocktail!
The Ingredients:
- 1/3 Cup of Fresh Cranberries
- 1 1/2 Cups of Fresh Apple Cider
- 1/2 Lemon (Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice)
- 2 TBSP Sugar
- 2/3 Cup Chilled Ginger Beer (Fresh or Local Pressed, if available)
- 3 1/2 oz Gin (Floral Selection)
The Process:
- Muddle Cranberries with Sugar in a pitcher.
- Add Apple Cider, Ginger Beer, Lemon Juice and Gin (eliminate the gin to make it a mocktail!).
- Divide amount 4 glasses. Serve chilled or over ice.
